Lately we’ve heard a lot about tackle manufacturers shrinking their budgets and laying off staff. Not so with Tabu Tackle. The company, which was the brainchild of tour pros Dave Lefebre, Kelly Jordon, Anthony Gagliardi and Michael Murphy, recently expanded with the addition of Lee Duer (head of sales) and Joe Balog (marketing manager).
Duer, a lifelong bass fisherman and longtime corporate sales associate, will handle new accounts, financing and dealer relations. Balog, a pro angler and owner of the fishing and hunting PR group Millennium Promotions Inc., will handle marketing, pro-staff coordination and shipping.
Tabu, which stands for Tackle Approved By Us, hinted at plans to introduce several new products in the near future and significantly expand its pro staff.
