On a recent outing, it was incredibly tough to get the fish to bite, they were so focused on the over abundant, small Threadfin Shad and even smaller Silversides. I had to almost cast into their mouths to get them to bite. I was surrounded by six boats, they all left the area with no fish, it was that bad.

This is where I think the Tiny Tim prevails, when you need to “Match the Hatch” in clear water, where there is heavy fishing pressure, and almost too much natural forage to compete against to get a bite.

At three inches long and with close attention to fine details, such as its eyes, it has a great swimming tail and a weight chamber built in for longer casts. The colors allow you to mimic the baitfish in your area very easily. I believe, the Tiny Tim is truly the most versatile finesse swimbait on the market!

I like to rig the Tiny Tim several different ways, I Fly Line it, rig it Texas Style, or on a Zappu Tackle Inchy Wacky Rig. The Zappu tungsten weight fits perfectly into the Belly Chamber for longer casts. Also, at times I have melted split shot into the Belly Chamber for longer casts.

My experience with the Tiny Tim has been incredible for the past few years I have been fishing it now!

Thank you for such a great product!

BFL

I was fishing the May 17th BFL on lake West Point when I caught this 5 1/2 pound bass on a 7/16oz black rusty craw open water series jig. I can honestly say the key to landing that fish was 100% the design of the jig. If it were not for the ultra sharp hook and perfectly angled brush guard I would have never caught this bass.

It was a brutally tough post spawn day after a major front had passed thru, when I had a disaster scenario unfold. I had just made a 35 yard cast into the wind when the fish hit on the fall and started swimming towards me. I took up as much line as I could before I set the hook but still only got a minimum hook set. I just knew there was no way that fish was coming in the boat under those circumstances but I about fell over backwards after my co-angler netted it and I saw just how well it was hooked. It was hooked perfectly thru the roof of the mouth. I’m still amazed at how well the hook penetrated with the lack of pressure on my end.

Thanks to the design of the TABU jig I finished 15th. If I had been throwing another jig and lost that fish I would have finished 106th.

Great Jig. I caught this 5 pounder swimming a 5/16 Watermelon Red TABU jig. I had only one fish all day using just about every bait I had in the boat. I tied on the TABU jig and caught a 2 pounder after five casts, the 5 pounder 10 minutes later, and a 3 pounder a few minutes later. Next time maybe I’ll start with the TABU jig.
